Harberton Cricket Club – 5 year vision

Harberton CC is a community-based cricket club offering a great experience to all ages in the spirit of cricket.

Our aims for the next 5 years are :

To continue our full schedule of adult weekend and mid-week fixtures including the Mills Shield but not entering league cricket

To provide a full compliment of age group teams in the South Devon Youth League through our developing youth section

To gain Clubmark and to qualify youth team coaches and officials to support our youth programme

To work closely with the local community to ensure that Harberton CC is an integral part of the community

To consider and develop, where appropriate, complimentary sports and activities to cricket at Stonehills.

To achieve this we intend :

To gain Clubmark within two years

To purchase Stonehills within the next three years

To raise funds to rebuild the pavilion within five years

To fund a hard net within two years

To maintain the ground with a new machinery shed and upgrading equipment when necessary.

To support this programme the committee will instigate two sub-committees responsible for :

1) Ground purchase and development programme

2) Regular fund-raising activities – linked into grant applications to support this vision

We require help in the following areas :

1) Groundwork

2) Fund-raising and events

3) Officials – umpires and scorers
