HARBERTON CRICKET CLUB - DEVELOPMENT PLAN for 2009

1 Obtain ECB Clubmark accreditation.

2 To pay off the first instalment for the purchase of the ground.

3 Set up a Stonehills development sub committee to reseach upgrading of

ground facilities to include changing rooms, all weather net facility and machinery

shed. Group to report back to main committee for the October meeting.

4 Set up a fund raising/ social sub committee to organise a range of fund raising and

social events to fund future improvements to the club facilities and raise the

profile and involvement of the club in the local community.

Fund raising target for 2009 - £2500

5 Encourage players and parents to get more involved in club affairs by

-training as coaches and as umpires

-volunteering to help with ground maintenance and fund raising activities

-providing support for our junior development programme.

-obtain parent representation on the Harberton Club committee.

6 Submit an application for the installation of a hard practice net, to be available

for use from April 2010.

7 Improve club communication with players, parents and the local community

via the website, the press and parish magazines etc to attract more local players

and to increase community awareness and involvement in the club.
